We
are
preparing
for
our 48th Annual Book Sale.
|

The
following article is for publication to promote the book sale. We
hope you will spread the word to your friends and neighbors regarding
our
upcoming sale. The Grosse Pointe Michigan
Branch of AAUW
will conduct its 48th Annual Used Book Sale September 15 –
18, 2010
at the Grosse Pointe Woods Community Center at 20025 Mack Plaza between
Moross
and Vernier. In addition to the extensive assortment of books,
including paperback and hardcover fiction, nonfiction, and large-print,
there will be CDs,
DVDs, and videos. Proceeds of the chapter’s main fundraiser provide
scholarships locally and nationally.
Hours are 10:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m
on
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; 9:30 a.m. – noon on Saturday. Co-chairs
of the
sale are Ellen Chapin and Cheri Swarthout, both from the City of Grosse
Pointe.
The Grosse Pointe Michigan Branch of AAUW advances equity for women and
girls
through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research. All proceeds
from our
fundraising activities help us accomplish these goals. We hope to see
you there. |
